Basic Set Guide

Basic sets are the most straightforward training system that follows the structure of performing one set of an exercise, followed by a rest period, before completing a second set.

For example

Set 1 – Squat x 12 repetitions

Rest 60 seconds

Set 2 – Squat x 12 repetitions

Rest 60 seconds

Set 3 – Squat x 12 repetitions

Rest 60 seconds

If no weights have been allocated for you in the workout, your goal is to warm up with what you feel would be a light/moderate weight to both warm up and estimate what you think an appropriate weight would be to start your working sets at.
